Project Details

TheWall was a free online application in which anyone can use to share and display their art in a new type of gallery. This gallery has two very distinguishing key factors. One it does not break the images into a grid. Instead it shows all the images on the same page with no initial filtering. Two it does not discriminate the art by favoring new art or popular art. Every time someone views the wall every piece of art had the same chance of being seen.

I built TheWall for my senior project before graduating. I had one goal with it, push my limits and learn from it. I succeeded in my goal by combining PHP, ActionScript, JavaScript, and MySQL through the use of Ajax. Ajax is something I never used before this project, but something I now use all the time.
